A unique Gastronomic Experience!

We are delighted to welcome you to Nyurah, Vatel’s culinary center of excellence.

The name Nyurah is derived from the Kinyarwanda term ‘Kunyurwa’ meaning ‘to delight’ and that is indeed our aim, to create experiences that leave you deeply satisfied.

Our resident Chefs, Fidel Nshimiyimana and Odette Nyiranubaha, and their team design a continuously evolving menu of African haute cuisine, combining the finest seasonal ingredients from Rwanda with innovative recipes from across the continent.

Great care, thought, individuality and creativity have gone into the preparation of each dish. Equal dedication has been applied by the Nyurah sommelier team in selecting wines and spirits offering to complement our gourmet cuisine.

We have derived much pleasure from the creation of this menu and very much hope that you will enjoy your dining experience with us.

Nous sommes ravis de vous accueillir à Nyurah, le centre d’excellence culinaire de Vatel.

Le nom Nyurah est dérivé du mot «Kunyurwa» qui, en kinyarwanda, signifie «être pleinement satisfait», et c’est en effet notre objectif: créer des expériences qui vous laissent profondément satisfaits.

Notre duos de chefs résident, Fidel Nshimiyimana et Odette Nyiranubaha ainsi que leur équipe conçoivent un menu en constante évolution, qui s’inscrit dans la haute cuisine africaine, combinant les meilleurs ingrédients de saison du Rwanda avec des recettes innovantes, de tout le continent.

Le soin, la réflexion, l'individualité, ainsi que la créativité, sont quelques-uns des ingrédients ajoutés à la préparation de chacun de nos plats.

Un engagement égal a été appliqué par l'équipe de sommeliers de Nyurah dans la sélection des vins et spiritueux, pour compléter notre cuisine gastronomique.

One of the unique features of Nyurah is that it will be opening its doors to exemplary students to build practical skills in the restaurant business.

Students will be able to practice their culinary and service skills at the Centre of Excellence, enabling them to put their theory into practice.

Through training new entrants and existing industry personnel in international best practices, Nyurah will be at the forefront of equipping the Rwandan youth to fulfill the nation’s goal of becoming a high-end tourism destination and regional center for Meetings Incentives Conventions & Exhibitions (MICE). To do this, the restaurant will invite respected International Chefs from within the Africa Region and the world over to share their experience, flavor, and influences with the students and Nyurah’s Customers.


Art Curation

The Made in Rwanda décor in Nyurah accentuates the restaurant’s Afro-centered theme and love for African inspired artifacts.
